Morocco Remains Africa’s Top Performer in Attractiveness and Stability

In 2024, Morocco continues to shine on the African stage, taking first place in the Attractiveness Index and second place in the Stability Index, an achievement hailed by the Amadeus Institute. These performances illustrate the economic resilience and relevance of the reforms undertaken under the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. A dynamic supported by economic diversification, modern infrastructures and exemplary governance, which confirms the Kingdom as a model of stability and attractiveness on the continent.

In 2024, Morocco is ranked first in the Attractiveness Index and second in the Stability Index, moving up one place from 2023. These results, published by the Amadeus Institute, bear witness to the Kingdom’s resilience and the relevance of the economic strategies implemented under the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

“Morocco has diagnosed its weaknesses in 2022, including the vagaries of the climate, fairly high unemployment rates, galloping inflation and a number of other difficulties, and has carried out a number of related reforms. Morocco has diversified its partners instead of relying solely on Europe. Morocco has begun to look a little more towards Africa in general, and the Sahel region in particular, as a country with a number of assets, not least a skilled and trained workforce.”

In addition to its economic diversification, Morocco benefits from a clear regulatory framework, an advantageous tax system and modern infrastructure, all of which enhance its attractiveness. Since the creation of the Indices in 2012, Morocco has been the only North African country to maintain a consistent position among the leaders of the Stability Index rankings, despite global challenges.

‘We can use the Moroccan model throughout Africa and improve it to make all the other countries attractive enough. This starts with political stability, followed by quotas, investment and a certain quality of infrastructure and workforce.’
