As host country for the 2025 Men’s Afrobasket, Angola has once again confirmed its position as a continental leader in basketball and sports organisation. From 12 to 24 August, Angola will host the 31st FIBA AfroBasket tournament in Luanda and Moçâmedes, reaffirming its position on the continental stage. The 2025 edition highlights the country’s sporting tradition and organisational strength, with two modern venues (the 12,720-seat Pavilhão Multiusos de Luanda and the 3,072-seat Pavilhão Welwitschia Mirabilis in Namibia), efficient logistics and a robust security system, meeting international standards and ensuring smooth operations for players, officials and fans.
This year, it is being organised by Angola, a country with high-quality infrastructure and a professional basketball league.
