Tunisian winger Naïm Sliti has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 33. After nearly a decade with the Eagles of Carthage, he is turning the page on his international career, having represented Tunisia 84 times.
Tunisian international Naïm Sliti has officially announced his retirement from the national team. The announcement was made via a video published on the official Tunisia national team Facebook page. Aged 33, the Al-Shamal SC player ends an international career that began in 2016. His last match with the Carthage Eagles was on 30 December 2025, in a 1-1 draw against Tanzania during the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.

Naïm Sliti’s career with the Tunisian national team spanned 84 appearances, during which he scored 15 goals. He represented the Carthage Eagles in significant tournaments, including the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups. Sliti’s achievements with the national side include securing third place in the 2019 AFCON and reaching the final of the 2021 Arab Cup. His final AFCON appearance ended in the 2025 round of 16, where Tunisia was eliminated by Mali in a penalty shootout.
