Central African Republic – 7th Republic Projects : President Touadéra Faces Citizens’ Expectations

Re-elected with 76.15% of the vote, President Faustin-Archange Touadéra is about to begin his new term in a context where the expectations of the Central African people are high and the challenges are many.

Few days before the swearing-in ceremony of the Central African President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, scheduled for March 30, 2026, all eyes are turning to Bangui and the country’s future. Re-elected with 76.15% of the vote, the Head of State is preparing to usher in a new political chapter: the 7th Republic, established under the 2023 Constitution. This moment, symbolizing both continuity and renewal, represents a major institutional turning point and a real test in meeting the expectations of the Central African citizens.

As the first head of state of the 7th Republic, he faces major challenges: those concerning youth, development, and the fact that a country progresses through communication .”

Benjamin Rendekouzou, President of Central African Writers – Central African Republic

During the December 2025 electoral campaign, President Touadéra outlined an ambitious plan for 2026–2032, built on five strategic pillars: lasting peace and security, economic development and infrastructure, social investment and public services, the fight against corruption, and national sovereignty. These commitments, now at the forefront, are becoming concrete challenges: Central Africans are expecting tangible actions capable of turning electoral promises into real improvements in their daily lives.

“For the government’s next term, we mainly expect more job opportunities for young people: many are graduates but often remain unemployed. Some are abroad but cannot return. Also, our football needs to be improved, because it is really behind.”

Tonga Lilian, Civil Engineering Student – Central African Republic

In Bangui, Central Africans are preparing for this historic moment. Political posters, heightened security measures, and strong institutional mobilization are shaping the city’s atmosphere. On March 30, the swearing-in ceremony will be more than just symbolic, it will mark the beginning of a new phase: translating the ambitions of the 7th Republic into concrete results for all Central Africans.
