Morocco : Former minister Mohamed Moubdii sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Former minister Mohamed Moubdii has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by the Casablanca Court of Appeal for embezzlement of public funds, corruption, abuse of power and document forgery. The former president of the municipal council of Fkih Bensalah was also ordered to pay a fine of 30 million dirhams. The conviction follows a complaint filed by the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Public Property, in a case that drew widespread public attention.
