In Chad, Congress has extended the state of emergency for three months in the Lake Province, in the western part of the country. Unanimously adopted by lawmakers gathered in N’Djamena, the measure aims to strengthen the fight against attacks attributed to the Boko Haram group and further secure this border area of the Lake Chad Basin.
