Burkina Faso has adopted a new law governing the military reserve, aiming to establish a force of 100,000 reservists by the end of 2026. Unanimously approved by the Transitional Legislative Assembly, the text presented by State Minister for Defence, General Célestin Simporé, establishes a permanent national mobilization system in response to security challenges.
