Libya: Government Suspends Allocation of Public Agricultural Land

The Government of National Unity has suspended all procedures related to the allocation, ownership, and use of state-owned agricultural land pending a cabinet review. The decision follows local disputes over land distribution in the Tarhuna area of Khadra, as well as concerns over parcels linked to research and educational institutions. Authorities have requested a detailed report on all land allocations carried out, while the government says the move aims to protect public property and ensure compliance with the law and proper governance standards.
