On the occasion of Throne Day, U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed, in a message addressed to King Mohammed VI, the United States’ support for Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara. Washington also reiterated its backing for Morocco’s autonomy proposal, describing it as the only basis for a lasting resolution of the dispute, while reaffirming its commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of security, the economy, and technology.
