A series of terrorist attacks carried out in mid-July in several villages in southwestern Niger has displaced several hundred people. Residents fled to the Tahoua and Dosso regions, in an area that has become a new hotspot for attacks attributed to groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State.
