Africa – Afreximbank : 32nd annual meetings in June in Abuja

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is holding its 32nd annual meetings in Abuja, Nigeria in June 2025. The signing of the related agreement between AfreximBank and the Federal Republic of Nigeria took place on February 11, 2025 at the Nigerian Ministry of Finance.

Under the theme: “Building the future over three decades of resilience”, the 32nd annual meeting of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) will be held in June 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria. The relevant agreement was signed on February 11, 2025 between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Afreximbank. The event will bring together thousands of participants from Africa, the Caribbean and beyond to examine the Bank’s future role in a complex global economic context.

In the last decade, it disbursed no less than 140 billion US dollars into the continent and leveraged over 200 billion US dollars into Africa over the same period, representing one of the most significant financing supports by a Multilateral Financial Institution, to the continent.”

The signing of the establishment agreement between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Afreximbank on February 11 marks the start of an important stage in the development of exports and imports in a context marked by the entry into force of the continental free trade area.

The 32nd Annual Meeting of Afreximbank will be an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between financial and business sector stakeholders with a view to promoting sustainable economic growth and social inclusion on the continent.
