Cabo Verde will chair the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) in 2027 and 2028, with combating climate change among its key priorities. The country plans to promote the resilience of island states, food security, water management and access to appropriate financing, while strengthening international cooperation in support of small island developing states.
