Cameroon has denied any connection to the tanker Tagor, which was intercepted by French authorities in late May and described by some media outlets as sailing under the Cameroonian flag. According to the Ministry of Transport, the vessel does not appear in any official national registry. Yaoundé condemned the fraudulent use of its flag and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding international maritime law.
