Africa : CFA 1.7 billion to boost the private sector

Financial support amounting to CFA 1.7 billion, granted by the African Development Fund (ADF) to WAEMU, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the private sector across its eight member states. This funding is expected to serve as a catalyst for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and regional integration. The program includes the organization of national consultations to assess progress and harmonize strategies, as well as training for 80 exporting SMEs on key topics, with particular emphasis on businesses led by women and young entrepreneurs.
