Niger: Prime Minister Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine has set up a committee tasked with examining, within 15 days, the conditions for reopening the border with Benin. This initiative follows recent talks between the leaders of both countries, who expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Closed since July 2023, the border could be gradually reopened if the committee’s recommendations are approved.
