Africa : Over USD 100 million expected in trade and investment deals

The Africa-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF2025) officially opens today in Grenada’s capital, marking a pivotal moment for transatlantic economic ties. Under the theme “Resilience and Transformation – Strengthening Africa-Caribbean Economic Cooperation in an Era of Global Uncertainty,” the fourth edition is set to attract over 1,800 delegates and 40 exhibitors, with a goal of generating USD 100 million in trade and investment deals.

The Africa-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF 2025) officially opens its doors on July 28 in St. George’s, the capital of Grenada. Under the theme « Resilience and Transformation – Strengthening Africa-Caribbean Economic Cooperation in an Era of Global Uncertainty, » this fourth edition aims to generate more than $100 million in trade and investment. More than 1,800 delegates and some 40 exhibitors from both regions gathered to showcase a wide range of products and services in an atmosphere of renewed cooperation.

With  trade between Africa and the Caribbean accounting for less than 1% of their total exports, ACTIF 2025 seeks  to promote trade, investment, and cultural linkages between Africa and the Caribbean by providing a platform to share trade, investment, and market information with the public and private sector, including investors, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Africans in the diaspora. The broader objective is to support a shared vision of growth and pursue a unified « Global Africa. »

Jointly organized by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the Government of Grenada, ACTIF 2025 offers a rich program combining high-level plenary sessions, business-to-business meetings, field visits, and networking opportunities. Participants will explore investment prospects in key sectors such as agribusiness, creative industries, tourism, finance, digitalization, infrastructure, and industrialization. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen sustainable bridges between Africa and the Caribbean, focusing on complementarity and economic solidarity.
