Meeting in Ouagadougou, the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES) adopted a motion of support for Burkina Faso, condemning the resolution of the European Parliament on the human rights situation in the country. They expressed their solidarity with the Burkinabe authorities and people, praised the country’s efforts to combat terrorism, and reaffirmed their commitment to building a sovereign, stable confederal space based on mutual respect and cooperation.
