Business: 7.5 Million Passengers Carried by Royal Air Maroc in 2025

Royal Air Maroc, a driver of trade and tourism, is strengthening its African routes and boosting Morocco’s economy while connecting the continent’s emerging markets.

As Morocco’s national airline and flagship carrier, Royal Air Maroc has regained cruising altitude. After the sharp disruption caused by the health crisis, the airline has returned to growth, posting a strong rebound: 7.2 million passengers carried in 2024, rising to 7.5 million in 2025. Revenue is nearing 20 billion dirhams. From its Casablanca hub, RAM is reaffirming its role as a strategic crossroads between Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

“Casablanca, as an African capital, is connected to around thirty capitals and cities across Africa. Today, passengers wishing to travel from Casablanca to anywhere in Africa have multiple options. On most destinations, we offer at least one daily flight, and in some cases up to 14 flights per week. We provide connections at different times of the day, giving our passengers opportunities not only between Morocco and other African countries, but also for intra-African travel.”

Today, the airline serves 29 African cities through direct flights, consolidating its continental leadership. This extensive network supports an ambitious expansion plan: increasing the fleet to 200 aircraft by 2037, strengthening long-haul routes, and intensifying South-South connectivity. This growth also aligns with the major infrastructure projects underway ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, a global event accelerating investments and ambitions in the Kingdom.

“Today, thanks to the Casablanca hub and our 13 Oneworld alliance partners, we enable African countries to connect with the entire world via Casablanca. This expansion ambition is now confirmed through Royal Air Maroc’s development plan: our goal is to reach 200 aircraft by 2037. In this expansion, Africa holds a very important place, as we must not only consolidate the destinations we already serve, but also increase frequencies on each route.”

In Morocco, Royal Air Maroc supports the recovery of tourism, facilitates business travel, and enhances economic attractiveness, while contributing to the modernization of airport infrastructure. Across the continent, it acts as a true bridge, linking capitals and major cities in West, Central, and East Africa. Combining commercial performance with strategic vision, the airline is strengthening Casablanca’s position as a major African hub and actively contributing to economic integration and the development of intra-African trade.
