Cameroon : Port of Douala generated FCFA 14.4 billion in 2023

On 1 November 2024, the Autonomous Port of Douala organised the 4th edition of its Awards, an event that rewards the best economic operators in the port area of Cameroon and their partners.

In 2023, the Autonomous Port of Douala registered a profit of FCFA 14.4 billion and a turnover of FCFA 119.6 billion, for a total balance sheet of FCFA 453.8 billion. This result is attributable to the management of the port of Douala as well as to its operators. To reward those responsible for these results, the Autonomous Port of Douala organised the 4th edition of its Awards on 1 November 2024 in the economic capital of Cameroon. This was an awards ceremony for the best players of 2023.

I would like to sincerely thank the Director of the Autonomous Port of Douala and his entire team for the magnificent fourth edition of this event. The CNCC has won a prize and we can only congratulate them and tell you that we will continue to work hand in hand with the Autonomous Port of Douala.

Criteria for the awards included traffic, sales, collections, turnover ratio and customer behaviour. A total of 40 categories were awarded. 

Forty categories were selected for this year’s competition, a change from the previous year when there were thirty-nine. 28 are from the Port of Douala Bonaberi for commercial services. Three categories for the Port of Limbé, five categories for our hinterland partners and four categories for service providers to the Autonomous Port of Douala .

As a reminder, the Autonomous Port of Douala handles 95% of Cameroon’s national traffic and holds the leading position in the CEMAC zone.
