In Africa, education remains a key driver of human development. In Côte d’Ivoire, local initiatives are helping to promote academic achievement and encourage young people to believe in their potential. In N’denou, the second edition of Essouambébo recognised 39 successful candidates who passed the Baccalaureate and the BEPC.
Education remains one of the main drivers of development across the African continent. Yet, according to UNESCO, more than half of the world’s 251 million out-of-school children live in sub-Saharan Africa. Against this backdrop, in Côte d’Ivoire, local initiatives such as the second edition of Essouambébo, held on 22 August 2026 in N’denou, are helping to promote academic success and encourage the emergence of a new generation of talented young people through the celebration of excellence.
We are fully convinced that these young people have understood the significance of the message conveyed. Our approach goes beyond simply awarding prizes: it is a genuine call for hard work and perseverance, aimed at giving them the means to build the future alongside us.

A total of 39 students who passed the Baccalaureate and the Junior Secondary School Certificate (BEPC) examinations were honoured, compared with 25 in 2025, representing an increase of 56% in one year. This progress is part of a positive trend also observed at national level, where the success rate in the 2026 BEPC reached 52.17%, compared with 28.89% in 2022.
We have just been honoured by the words of one of the members of our community, in partnership with the Chim-Inter Foundation. We express our deep gratitude to them, because these words of encouragement inspire us to persevere even more in our studies after the Baccalaureate, while also encouraging our classmates who passed the BEPC to work even harder throughout their academic journey.
