Côte d’Ivoire : Customs Visa Requirement Lifted for Mali and Burkina Faso

Since April 11, 2026, Côte d’Ivoire has removed the customs visa requirement for goods destined for Mali and Burkina Faso transiting through its territory. This new measure is part of the T.R.I.E. convention and has been made possible through the digitalization of systems (T1 and transit goods management). It aims to improve the flow of sub-regional trade by eliminating this now unnecessary visa requirement, which had been a source of delays. Economic operators can now submit their declarations directly, thereby helping to strengthen regional economic integration.
