Côte d’Ivoire Sets 2026 Cashew Farmgate Price at 400 CFA Francs

The 2026 cashew marketing campaign has been officially launched in Côte d’Ivoire. In Yamoussoukro, the government set the farm-gate price at 400 CFA francs per kilogram, striking a balance between global market realities and protecting farmers’ incomes.

On Friday, February 6, 2026, Côte d’Ivoire officially launched the cashew marketing campaign. For this campaign, the government set the guaranteed minimum farm-gate price at 400 CFA francs per kilogram. The decision was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Bruno Koné, during the National Producers’ Days in Yamoussoukro, the country’s capital.

I have the honor and pleasure to announce, on behalf of the Prime Minister, that the minimum farm-gate price for the 2026 cashew campaign for properly sorted, dried nuts has been set at 400 francs per kilogram.

Bruno Koné, Minister of AgricultureCôte d’Ivoire

This price falls within the upper range of rates observed over the past seven years. However, it comes in a tense international context, marked by a slowdown in the cashew market and a decline in the dollar, which fell from 620 to 565 CFA francs over the past year.

Reforms must continue to strengthen the gains achieved. The regulatory and marketing mechanisms in place functioned well during the 2025 campaign, and thanks to you, Côte d’Ivoire maintains its standing. We will always stand by your side, rest assured. I therefore urge all stakeholders in the marketing process to strictly respect the price, and the government will always be ready to intervene when necessary.

Robert Beugré Mambé, Prime Minister – Côte d’Ivoire

The price of 400 CFA francs, a decrease compared to the 2025 campaign when the minimum price was 425 CFA francs per kilogram, constitutes a revisable floor. An assessment is expected at the end of April 2026, and an upward revision could be decided if market conditions improve. Through this campaign, Côte d’Ivoire aims to protect farmers’ incomes while consolidating its status as the world leader in cashew production.
