Egypt: Inflation expected to slow toward the 7% target in the second half of 2027 (CBE)

Egypt’s central bank expects inflation to gradually decline toward its 7% ±2 percentage-point target in the second half of 2027, following stabilization in the third quarter of 2026. Annual inflation stood at 14.5% in August, while the central bank kept its key interest rates unchanged.
