UN Secretary-General António Guterres has called for an immediate end to fighting in Ethiopia’s Tigray, Afar and Amhara regions and for dialogue to resume in line with the Pretoria Agreement. Concerned by reports of Eritrean forces on Ethiopian territory, he urged influential countries to help de-escalate tensions.
