On the eve of the first edition of the Chantal Biya international mountain bike race scheduled for August 30, 2025, the locality of Bagofit, in the Haut-Nyong department, East Cameroon region, transformed into a true cultural and artisanal crossroads. Since August 29, the Bagofit Sun City Complex has been hosting the Fair of Living Together, a showcase of Cameroon’s cultural and gastronomic riches.

The Bagofit Sun City complex in Cameroon hosted on August 29, 2025, the village of the Fair of Living Together, where visitors discovered a wide range of artisanal products, delicious traditional dishes, as well as sounds from the four cultural areas of the country. An immersion into Cameroonian diversity and conviviality.

I am proud to be at the fair in the East, at the Chantal Biya race. Here you find the dishes, you find the meals, I ate a lot

LINE NATACHA, Visitor

For the fair’s general commissioner Adalbert Moulioum, the event embodies the expression of living together, visible, audible, and tangible. He praised the commitment of the promoter, Minister Joseph Lé, before emphasizing the importance of going closer to the villages to promote artisans in their various trades: art, service, and production. Present at the ceremony was the Central African Minister of Youth and Sports Development. On behalf of President Faustin Archange Touadéra, he praised the initiative. According to him, the fair is a model of reunification and resilience, an inspiring experience for his country marked by political and military crises.

It is with great feeling that we have been able to see that the event is growing over time. I was here last year, we participated in this bike race, this year we discovered that there is an extension through the artworks I just saw and the key message also focuses on the reunification of Cameroon. It is a model for the Central African Republic.

Beyond the official speeches, exhibitors and artists proudly testify to their participation. A participation that highlights Cameroon’s rich heritage.

I came to the fair to show you what our grandparents used in the past. These two things I am holding in my hand are pure iron. They were meant to equip women with. Back then, they were used to make spears and daggers.I came to the fair to present my work. Being a weaver, I am working to promote our culture within the district.
