Ghana: John Boadu Elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)

John Boadu was elected National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ghana’s main opposition party, during the party’s congress on Saturday in Kumasi. He takes over the leadership as part of the party’s reorganization following its defeat in the 2024 general elections, ahead of the 2028 elections. More than 7,000 delegates also re-elected Justin Kodua Frimpong as Secretary-General.
