Representatives of Libya’s rival eastern and western camps signed an agreement in Tripoli under UN auspices aimed at removing obstacles to the organization of elections. The agreement provides for the restructuring of the High National Elections Commission and the holding of presidential and legislative elections within a maximum period of 24 months, subject to the formation of a unified executive and unified institutions.
