The United Nations recorded 1,140 grave violations against children in Libya in 2025, according to the annual report of UN Secretary-General António Guterres on children and armed conflict. These abuses include killings, maiming, recruitment and detention of minors, as well as numerous incidents linked to explosive remnants of war in Libya. The report also documents 1,084 cases of obstruction of humanitarian assistance and calls on all parties to the conflict to strengthen child protection and end ongoing violations.
