Rwanda has temporarily closed its border with the Congolese city of Goma on Sunday amid a new Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The measure has led to the suspension of traffic between Gisenyi and Goma, one of the main crossing points between the two countries. The decision comes as regional health authorities step up surveillance in response to a surge in cases in eastern DRC, which has been classified as a public health emergency by the WHO.
