Senegal’s Constitutional Council has invalidated the organic law on special credits, adopted by the National Assembly on October 1, due to an irregularity in the voting procedure. In its ruling published on October 15, the court found that the government’s amendments should have been put to a single vote in accordance with the Constitution, thereby challenging the validity of the text adopted by 127 votes.
