Zimbabwe has announced the return of 78,112 of its nationals from South Africa since late May amid fears of possible xenophobic violence. According to the government, more than 21,000 people were repatriated with state assistance, while nearly 57,000 returned on their own. Harare says it has put in place reception and reintegration measures to support the returnees.
