Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Nigeria’s Comptroller General of Customs service, is our guest in this edition of the Interview. Under CAFTA, customs duties on 90% of liberalised goods will be reduced by 2030 at the latest, and by 7% by 2035. However, countries are authorised to tax 3% of the goods produced. How is Nigeria, which has ratified the agreement, preparing for these changes?
