Chad : 800 agents trained for the General Population and Housing Census

On 18 April 2026 in Chad, the National Institute of Statistics, Economic and Demographic Studies launched an 18-day training programme as part of the third General Population and Housing Census (RGPH3), involving more than 800 supervisors and IT assistants. This stage aims to prepare for the nationwide census and ensure the quality of the data collected. Statistical authorities stressed that RGPH3 is a key tool for planning and public decision-making. Supervisors and IT assistants are responsible for ensuring technical quality and reliability of field operations. The World Bank and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) are supporting this census operation.
