During an official visit to Niamey, Beninese President Romuald Wadagni and his Nigerien counterpart Abdourahamane Tiani agreed to revive bilateral cooperation, with the reopening of the border between the two countries—closed since 2023—as a top priority. A committee of experts has been tasked with submitting proposals within fifteen days, while both leaders also reaffirmed their shared commitment to combating terrorism and strengthening economic ties.
