Sudan : UN Security Council Renews Sanctions Until 2027

The United Nations Security Council has renewed until 2027 the sanctions regime imposed on Sudan, including an arms embargo and targeted measures against individuals and entities involved in the violence. The decision comes amid the ongoing war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, which has deepened a major humanitarian crisis marked by mass displacement and the collapse of essential services.
