Nearly 4.5 million people will need humanitarian assistance in Chad in 2026, according to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. The country is facing food insecurity, malnutrition, floods, epidemics and the effects of climate change, while more than 936,000 refugees have been hosted since April 2023. The 2026 Humanitarian Response Plan requires more than $986 million in funding.
