The prosecution has sought a 30-year prison sentence for General Abdoulaye Miskine, who is on trial in N’Djamena, and ten years for three of his co-defendants. The defense has challenged the charges, citing, among other grounds, lack of territorial jurisdiction, the statute of limitations and insufficient evidence. The verdict is expected on September 9, 2026.
