Mauritania has formed a new government comprising 29 ministers, led by Mokhtar Ould Diay, who was reappointed by President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. Several outgoing ministers have retained their positions following the resignation of the previous government amid an investigation into the fire at two power stations in Nouakchott.
