The Central African Republic reaffirmed, on Wednesday 19 March 2026 in Rabat, its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, including over the Sahara, following talks between Central African Foreign Minister Sylvie Baïpo-Temon and her Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita. Bangui renewed its backing for Morocco’s autonomy plan, described as the only credible and realistic solution to the regional dispute, while also welcoming UN Security Council Resolution 2797.
