A memorandum of understanding was signed in Kigali between the United States and Rwanda to strengthen cooperation in the field of civil nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. The agreement, concluded between officials from both countries, aims to promote the development of civilian nuclear energy while expanding prospects for energy cooperation. Both sides also intend to ensure compliance with the highest standards of nuclear safety, security, and non-proliferation.
