In this edition of the interview, we speak with Mr. Seedy Keita, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia. He represented his country in Bangui at the 2025 African Caucus, a strategic gathering of African finance ministers and central bank governors in dialogue with the Bretton Woods institutions. It is worth noting that The Gambia will host the next edition of the African Caucus in 2026, a major symbolic and political milestone for Banjul, in a context marked by economic transition, budgetary reforms, and the pursuit of innovative financing. With Minister Keita, we explore The Gambia’s economic ambitions, its expectations from technical and financial partners, and the prospects for the 2026 edition of the Caucus.
