Nairobi’s Kenyatta International Convention Center hosts the 2024 edition of the African Development Bank Group’s Annual Meetings. Marking the AfDB’s 60th anniversary, the event takes place from May 27 to 31, 2024. Under the theme of « Transforming Africa », the meeting brings together over 3,000 delegates, including African heads of state, ministers and private sector representatives, to discuss concrete measures for mobilizing resources for the continent’s structural development.

Taking place from May 27th to 31st, 2024, the event includes the 59th Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Board of Governors and the 50th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Fund.

Under the central theme: « Africa’s Transformation, the African Development Bank Group and the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture », these assemblies aim to propose concrete measures to mobilize resources for Africa’s structural transformation.
The perfect opportunity for the AfDB to present its 2024 African Economic Outlook report, assessing the progress made by the continent in its economic transformation and development over recent decades, while identifying the gaps to be filled.
With over 3,000 delegates expected, including African heads of state, ministers, central bank governors, development partners, private sector representatives and other key actors, this meeting promises to be a crucial moment to catalyze change and promote collaboration on a continental level .
