The Ugandan parliamentary appointments committee, chaired by Jacob Marksons Oboth alongside Thomas Tayebwa, has begun reviewing 81 nominations for various ministerial and senior state positions. The hearings, which also involve opposition leader Joel Ssenyonyi, aim to validate the government’s selections under President Yoweri Museveni, following a recent cabinet reshuffle. The candidates include several prospective ministers, as part of a two-day parliamentary vetting process.
