Niger has created the Société Nigérienne des Pipelines Intérieurs (SNPI), a state-owned company tasked with managing, operating, and securing hydrocarbon transport infrastructure. Fully owned by the state, the company will notably oversee the pipeline linking Agadem to the Zinder refinery, as part of a broader effort to regain control over strategic assets in the oil sector.
