The Mauritian government has dismissed media reports claiming discussions with the United States over a possible agreement concerning the Chagos Islands or Diego Garcia. Port Louis stated that it has received no official proposal and has not been contacted by the US administration, reaffirming that its sovereignty over the archipelago is “not negotiable.”
