Malian authorities have announced that Kidal has been retaken by the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), following air and ground operations conducted with their Russian partners as part of Operation Dougoukoloko. According to the General Staff, the operations aim to neutralize armed groups, dismantle their networks and strengthen security in the country’s north.
