Economic diversification stands as a major challenge for Cameroon’s future, especially in this electoral period as citizens prepare to choose their next leader. Still heavily reliant on hydrocarbons and a handful of agricultural raw materials, the national economy must confront key issues such as local transformation, industrialization, and the modernization of agriculture. What public policy choices will ensure a more diversified and sustainable development model? That is the central question in this edition of Africa Newsroom.
