Benin : government seeks extradition of Kémi Séba from South Africa

Benin is preparing an extradition request targeting activist Kémi Séba, arrested in Pretoria, and accused of involvement in the December attempted coup. Detained in South Africa, he is due to appear on April 29 for a bail hearing, while investigations into money laundering and migration irregularities are also underway. A controversial pan-Africanist figure and opponent of Patrice Talon, he disputes the proceedings brought against him.
