During the joint “Al Hamamia” operation carried out by the mixed Chad–Central African Republic force from March 24 to April 12 in border areas, around thirty AK-47 rifles and several homemade weapons were seized. Presented to the press in Sarh, the results highlight both countries’ efforts to combat illicit arms trafficking and strengthen security along their shared border, with support from local and regional authorities.
